Inequality By Design (2026)



For my project, I’m documenting Astoria and Bushwick to show the importance and differences in socioeconomic status between the two communities through architecture. In my project, I’m focusing on who these buildings are really made for. While being born and raised in Bushwick in a low-income household, I want to contrast the lack of care and neglect in some buildings around my community in Bushwick, while showing more maintained and established spaces in Astoria.
